Resolution
DCI 8K (8192*4320)/60 fps video preserves every detail, from lush foliage to inspiring architecture, skin texture to hair, all in flawless quality. For those who need 4K output, 8K recording offers unprecedented creative options with greater flexibility for cropping, recomposing and stabilizing video in post.
High ISO
Zenmuse X9 supports dual native ISO (X9-8K: 800/4000, X9-6K: 800/5000), which captures images with excellent detail and minimal noise, even when shooting a night cityscape or beach or a scene lit by dim candlelight.
Dynamic range
With 14+ stops of dynamic range, Zenmuse X9 delivers natural transitions of highlights and shadows in complex lighting conditions, such as backlit scenes and direct sunlight. These traditionally difficult scenes can now be captured easily and confidently.
Science of colors
With the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and powerful computing power provided by CineCore 3.0, Zenmuse X9 is able to give images a cinematic look while maintaining authentic and accurate colors. It also supports the industry-standard ACES workflow for effortless compatibility with the color tones of other cinema cameras.
Built-in 9 stop ND filters
The X9 features built-in high-quality 9-stop ND filters (ND2 to ND512 or ND0.3 to ND2.7), which can be changed quickly and easily thanks to an internal motorized system. These filters were also designed to match and complement Ronin 4D's color science.
DL Lenses
The X9's standard DL mount supports three compact full-frame prime lenses. The housings are made from lightweight, monocoque carbon fiber, so each lens weighs just 180 grams. More DJI lenses will be available in the future.
Interchangeable bases
The X9 supports interchangeable lens mounts, including DJI's exclusive DL mount as well as third-party mounts such as the Leica M. Ultra-wide, f/0.95 large-aperture, electronic zoom, macro and anamorphic [5] lenses that are compatible with traditional film cameras also work on the X9,[6] providing flexible lens options.
Wireless control
Whether you use manual lenses or autofocus lenses, the dedicated modules fitted to the X9 can achieve wireless lens control and even autofocus. [6]
Compatible lenses
4-axis stabilization system
DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-axis to the traditional 3-axis gimbal, which effectively reduces vertical camera shake and offers stabilization performance. The four axes work together with a downward ToF sensor, two forward and downward optical sensors, an integrated IMU and barometer, and an advanced new algorithm to bring overall stabilization to a whole new level.
When this compact body is combined with its powerful stabilization capabilities, complex camera movements that were previously too expensive to achieve are now easily achievable.
Built-in camera and stabilization
The Ronin 4D integrates the imaging and stabilization systems while keeping only the sensor and necessary optical components in the camera gimbal. The gimbal tilt axis uses dual symmetrical motors, while both the pan and roll axis are designed with an additional stiffness adjuster.
The compact and portable gimbal system allows you to start shooting without the need for tedious manual balancing. This also provides stable video, even with lenses that have a shifting center of gravity during use.
With a highly integrated body and robust motor power, the Ronin 4D delivers the best stabilization and tracking performance of the entire Ronin series so far at an incredibly light weight. In addition, it can switch to Sport mode at the touch of a button, allowing the gimbal to react quickly to the movements of the cinematographer.
It also supports wireless gimbal control and flexible mounting configurations for various shooting scenarios.[7]
ActiveTrack Pro
DJI's exclusive computer vision, deep learning technology and the powerful computing power of CineCore 3.0 combine in ActiveTrack Pro, which enables cinematic tracking shots, even with a single shot. This technology also allows subjects to be tracked from greater distances and features composition adjustment with continuous autofocus to keep subjects in focus during follow-up shots.
LiDAR focusing system
LiDAR waveform
DJI Ronin 4D makes manual focusing easier than ever. Visualized focus support technology displays range points on the main and remote displays in a simplified top-down view. This provides an innovative and intuitive LiDAR waveform to quickly locate focus points and enable extremely precise focus adjustments. Even operators with little or no experience can become adept at manual focus quickly.
LiDAR Range Measurement
43 200
The LiDAR rangefinder can fire up to 43,200 points within a detection range of 10 meters. [8] Compared to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), Ronin 4D's LiDAR focusing system can focus faster without compromising image quality or relying on the subject's surface texture . This is especially useful in low-light environments and results in excellent focusing capabilities compared to other cinema cameras.
Automatic focus
With the new LiDAR focusing system, the Ronin 4D is able to maintain focus even when there is severe motion blur caused by fast-moving subjects. With the focus motor in place, autofocus is available even on manual lenses. [6] Continuous autofocus on subjects can be activated together with ActiveTrack Pro, making it particularly convenient for solo operators.
Automatic manual focus
Automated Manual Focus (AMF) [9] gives you the precision and flexibility of manual focus with the convenience of autofocus. The focus wheel will rotate in sync as the focus point changes, but filmmakers can take over manual control at any point. The focus wheel on the right grip even features dynamic damping with electromagnetic technology. This gives filmmakers a natural feel for focus changes, providing a more intuitive and modern focus experience that is unmatched in the industry today.
Wireless transmission and control system
Video streaming performance
The Ronin 4D uses the brand new DJI O3 Pro video transmission technology, which offers a transmission range of 20,000 feet [10] that would be unthinkable in traditional solutions. In addition to 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, it supports the DFS frequency band and an AES 256-bit encryption algorithm that can output FHD 1080p/60fps streaming to multiple remote displays simultaneously with significantly improved security, stability and anti-malware capability. interference.
DJI's proprietary chip powers Ronin 4D's imaging system, video transmitter, video receiver and remote display. Together, these components form an improved wireless transmission system, with each link explicitly optimized to provide end-to-end ultra-low transmission latency.
Complete design
The 4D video transmitter [1] can be mounted directly to the Ronin 4D and be powered by the main body's battery. With a built-in wireless video receiver, the High Brightness Remote Monitor [1] features a 7-inch, 1500 nit, wide color gamut touchscreen that can output HDMI and SDI signals via the extension module. [1] Its compact and lightweight body provides optimal portability and efficient setup so users can start shooting right away.
Coordinated Download
The high-brightness remote display supports a transmitter with multiple receivers for video and audio streaming. Two transmission modes are available. The first is the Broadcast mode, which puts no limit on the number of receivers and is suitable for monitoring with large crews. The second is the Control mode, which supports the coordinated operation of two receivers.
The high brightness remote display can be connected to the hand grips of Ronin 4D, DJI Master Wheels, DJI Force Pro,[11] or the new DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus. [12] This allows remote control of focus and gimbal movements with high precision, start and stop of recording and camera settings to meet the highest standards of coordinated shooting on sets. Additionally, the built-in gyro sensor turns the screen into a motion remote for the Ronin 4D's gimbal. [11]
Mirror Control Mode[11]
Mirror Control Mode gives the high-brightness remote monitor the same control interface as the main monitor, including all advanced features such as clip playback and camera and gimbal settings, which can now be adjusted remotely even when the Ronin 4D is mounted on various expansion platforms.
Independent recording and playback[11]
The high-brightness remote display has a built-in microSD card slot that supports independent video recording up to 1080p/60fps. When multiple remote monitors are used in combination, each monitor can play clips separately without interfering with other monitors.
