Will the Mavic Mini make the Mavic Air/Spark obsolete?
All our products have unique features and advantages. The Spark remains a fantastic new drone for beginners and those new to aircraft and aerial photography. The Mavic Mini is a big step up for users looking for an ultra-portable and lightweight drone that offers a powerful flight and camera performance. Mavic Air has a wide range of smart flight modes as well as a forward vision sensor. We encourage you to choose your drone based on your needs and skill level. For more information, see Mavic Mini vs. Spark.
Which drone is better for me: Mavic Mini or Mavic Air?
The Mavic Mini and Mavic Air have the same 1/2.3" CMOS 12MP camera, but the Mavic Mini offers up to 2.7K at 30fps and the Mavic Air 4K at 30fps. Both are excellent drones for those who travel frequently and have high demands on portability.
The two aircraft begin to differ in terms of size, flight times and ease of use. The Mavic Mini is smaller and lighter, weighing less than 250 grams. Mavic Mini works with the new DJI Fly app, which is perfect for users without editing experience, offering creative options to turn any video into a social media clip. Finally, the Mavic Mini has a flight time of up to 30 minutes. Mavic Air impresses with its intelligent flight modes and forward vision sensors. If you're still not sure which of these two fantastic drones you prefer, check out Mavic series comparison.

How high can the Mavic Mini fly?
The default maximum flight height for the Mavic Mini is 120 meters, which can be increased to 500 meters by changing the settings in the DJI Fly app. The maximum take-off height is 3000 m.
