DJI RS 3 Pro
Nothing Out of Reach
Extending the powerful features of the Ronin series, the DJI RS 3 Pro is an advanced, comprehensive camera expansion platform that empowers videographers and provides coordinated shooting solutions for professional crews. With the DJI RS 3 Pro, nothing is out of reach.
Professional level design
Handle large payloads
The RS 3 Pro uses extended carbon fiber shaft arms to allow more balancing room for professional cameras, making it ideal for cameras like the Sony FX6 or Canon C70 with 24-70mm F2.8 lenses.
The new extended quick-release bottom plate[1] ensures more stable camera placement and is convenient for installing a lens support for more secure settings.
To make the balancing process easier, a detail knob has been added for the tilt axis to move the camera forward or backward with more precision, even down to the millimeter. With Teflon(R) coated components, the RS 3 Pro can balance with less friction and lower drag, even when mounting heavy cameras.
Automated axis locks
RS 3 Pro lets you get started quickly so you never miss a shot. Just press and hold the power button and the three axes unlock and extend automatically, allowing you to start shooting in seconds. Press the power button once and the axles automatically lock and hibernate, making the drive significantly more efficient. Long press the power button and it will fold and lock automatically.
High capacity payloads
The RS 3 Pro's optimized structural design ensures that its weight remains the same as the RS 2 at just 1.5kg (includes gimbal, battery grip and two-layer quick release plates), while its load capacity is robust 4.5 kg, providing strong support in a light body.
Wireless shutter control
Equipped with Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, the RS 3 Pro is able to achieve efficient and reliable wireless shutter control.[2] After initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video shooting and photos by pressing the record button on the stabilizer. A previously paired camera will automatically reconnect, saving time with each subsequent use. copters.gr
Direct mode switching
By simply dragging the new gimbal mode switch, you can switch between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow and FPV modes. FPV mode option is also customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait or Custom, allowing you to customize your gear and get started quickly.
Bigger is better
A large, integrated 1.8" OLED color touchscreen increases screen size by 28% compared to the RS 2, making it incredibly convenient for setting up settings, checking shooting status and framing subjects that you're watching.[3] And with the redesigned user interface, every setting is more intuitive and precise. The OLED screen also offers higher brightness than the RS 2's LCD screen for better outdoor viewing with lower energy consumption.
Professional level stabilization
Sleek carbon fiber construction
The arms of the RS 3 Pro are made from layers of uncut carbon fiber, just like the Ronin 2. This makes it lighter and stronger than the composite carbon fiber material used in the RS 2, increasing stiffness and reducing weight to cope with even more demanding download environments.
The next evolution of RS stabilization
Powered by the third generation of RS stabilization algorithms, the RS 3 Pro provides significantly improved stability in any scenario. Lab data shows that the RS 3 Pro provides a 20% increase in stability over the RS 2, effortlessly handling low-angle shots, running scenarios or switching between high and low positions.
Comparison of stabilization test data
Get super smooth results
When SuperSmooth mode is activated, the RS 3 Pro increases motor torque to further improve stabilization, delivering stable video even in fast-moving scenarios or when using 100mm-equivalent focal length lenses.
Professional level focus
LiDAR Help
To make focusing easier, Ronin 4D's LiDAR focusing technology is implemented in the RS 3 Pro. The new LiDAR (RS) range finder can project 43200 points at a range of 14 meters.[4] It also has a built-in camera with 30mm equivalent focal length and 70 wide FOV, meeting the focus needs of most scenarios .

Compared to conventional focusing technology, the LiDAR focusing system does not need to rely on the surface texture of the subject. This is especially useful in low-light environments or complex scenarios with many subjects and results in extremely stable focus.
It also supports Wide and Spot modes. In Wide mode, the scope automatically detects the subject and follows the focus. In Spot mode, users can manually frame or tap the subject to focus.

Brand New Focus Engine[10]
The next generation of DJI RS focus motor (2022) provides torque three times stronger (up to 1 Nm) and reduces audible noise by 50%. This provides a smoother focusing experience and reduces the effect on audio recording. It also adopts a quick-release structure, allowing it to be easily assembled without tools for faster use.
Enable cinematic autofocus
Combining the LiDAR rangefinder with the new focus motor[10] also enables cinematic autofocus on handheld lenses. Press the M button on the gimbal axis once to quickly switch between manual focus and autofocus to meet your needs effortlessly for both modes.
After calibrating manual lenses, multiple lens calibration profiles can be stored in the focus motor, so there is no need to recalibrate before subsequent uses. Some cine lenses[5] can even be connected directly to the focus motor for autofocus without the need for calibration.
Users can also connect the LiDAR range finder and focus motor directly to the camera and operate independently of the gimbal, enabling autofocus on manual lenses as well as with an external battery.[6]
ActiveTrack Pro
Tracking in the Ronin series has never been more accurate or efficient. The next-generation ActiveTrack Pro can read images directly from the camera built into the LiDAR rangefinder, without the need for the Ronin Image Transmitter (formerly known as the DJI Ronin RavenEye Image Transmission System). The LiDAR rangefinder also features a proprietary chip identical to the one used in the Ronin 4D, which boosts the ActiveTrack Pro's computing power by more than 60 times compared to ActiveTrack 3.0 in the Ronin image transmitter.
When using ActiveTrack Pro, you can directly track or frame your subject on the RS 3 Pro's OLED touchscreen.[7] Live streaming latency is reduced to just 40ms, 60% lower than his Ronin image transmitter, enabling fast tracking, even when the subject is moving quickly. With a neural network accelerator, it can detect and track targets, even when they are numerous and far away.
Professional video streaming
Quick placement
The RS 3 Pro can be combined with the all-new DJI Transmission to provide a customized shooting solution. The DJI video transmitter can be powered directly from the RS 3 Pro and conveniently mounted on the bottom via a cold shoe without the need for an additional battery, reducing the burden of manual tuning.
Long range wireless transmission
O3 Pro video transmission supports 6km video and audio transmission range[8] with ultra-low latency, as well as automatic frequency switching between 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz and DFS bands , providing the team with an impressively stable and interference-free remote monitoring experience.
Coordinated rotation
The DJI remote control high-brightness display supports 1080p/60fps live streams and a multi-receiver transmitter. In Control mode, two receivers can be used simultaneously to cooperatively control the RS 3 Pro's gimbal, focus and camera parameters for a complete shooting, monitoring and control experience.
Professional grade wireless control
Gimbal and focus control[9]
The high brightness DJI remote control display can be used with Ronin 4D, DJI Master Wheels or DJI Force Pro hand grips to control the gimbal and focus precisely.
