DJI Modify
Shaping the world
DJI Modify is DJI's first intelligent 3D model editing software. It features an improved and intuitive interface that facilitates the efficient completion of model processing. Combined with a DJI Enterprise drone and DJI Terra, it is a complete solution from aerial surveying, modeling and model processing to the easy sharing of these models to meet operational needs in surveying and mapping, firefighting, emergency response and transportation.
DJI Terra and DJI Modify - Seamless Workflow
In a DJI Terra 3D modeling project, you can launch DJI Modify with one click for model editing for an efficient workflow and a complete solution from modeling to model editing. In DJI Terra, turn on the DJI Modify switch and files for model editing will be automatically created, including preset objects and model preprocessing, so you can complete model editing efficiently.
Improved interaction
Simple interface, simple operation
DJI Modify's improved interface encourages a more intuitive interaction. Get started quickly without investing a lot of effort to get familiar with the software. Easy-to-use controls and practical, easy-to-use editing tools reduce manual effort, simplifying the model editing process.
Efficient Workflow
Without the need for complex setups, DJI Modify quickly imports and exports model files and performs consistent editing functions such as automatic texture repair and group vehicle leveling, greatly reducing the modeling workload. Smart and seamless integration between workflow stages makes completing tasks fast and hassle-free.
High and low quality models in one interface
Thanks to the smoothest model rendering technology, DJI Modify supports the viewing and editing of high and low quality models in a single interface. Any changes made are synchronized across both models and instantly previewed so you can effortlessly troubleshoot model editing for various scenarios.
Efficient 3D model repair
Remove floating components
Multiple selection methods
In addition to framing the mouse to select masses of floating parts or clicking to select individually for a single selection (each individual selection replaces the previous one), DJI Modify also supports grouping selection results with "Add to Selection and Subtract" from the Selection functions. These allow you to select floating parts accurately without repeatedly loading high-quality models or selecting them manually.
Remove with one click
After selecting the floating parts, you can easily remove them using the Remove Floating Parts button on the interface or the Delete/Backspace key on your keyboard, facilitating easy and quick removal. You can also quickly preview the model after removal.
Alignment
Multiple selection methods
Supports shaping the mouse into a polygon for a single selection of an area (replacing the previous selection) or grouping selection results with "Add to Selection and Subtract" from the Selection functions to select irregular areas as needed.
Vehicle leveling and texturing fix
By clicking the "Vehicle" button in the panel, DJI Modify immediately recognizes and selects the vehicles in the current view. Click the "Flatten" button in the menu to flatten all vehicle meshes. DJI Modify then automatically smooths the textures in the flattened areas, ensuring that the repair is seamless and aesthetically pleasing.
One click alignment
Whether you're selecting a single area or grouping results from multiple selections, you won't be bothered by the hassle of adjusting parameters - click the "Flatten" button to instantly flatten all selected meshes, quickly dealing with bumps on surfaces like vehicles or pedestrians.
Texture Fix
Select polygon
The DJI Modify supports repairing textures within a polygonal selection, making it simple to improve irregular areas of the model.
Delete
The "Erase" option allows DJI Modify to match and patch a selected area with the surrounding patterns, providing a quick and authentic texture patch.
Clone
The "Clone" option means that after selecting a pattern in a certain area using the repair tool, you can drag it to the area that needs repair. DJI Modify seamlessly blends the edges of the design with the surrounding area, providing a smoothly patched result.
Filling holes
Hole Border Detection
DJI Modify automatically and precisely locates the holes in the model, sketching and marking the contours to eliminate the need for manual work.
Frame/Click
You can quickly and accurately repair selected holes by using the mouse to click or frame the perimeter of the hole.
Custom option
You can also custom select the outline of the hole and repair it more flexible according to your needs.
One click fill
DJI Modify supports one-click repair of selected holes, automatically correcting hole textures with excellent blending effects, even allowing for efficient, accurate processing of complex, hard-to-identify holes within the model.
Water surface repair
Custom width
You can create and adjust the water surface on the model, modifying its width, height, shape and position to best fit the model.
Fast Production
When drawing the water surface, DJI Modify intelligently fills it with either texture patterns or a selected custom color, quickly creating a smooth water surface in real-time to optimize repair of water scenes.
Cloud sharing[3], fast delivery
DJI Modify renders and exports models quickly in multiple formats, including ply, obj, and b3dm, which are compatible with DJI Terra and third-party software. Edited models can be quickly shared to the cloud so others can view them online in their web browser or mobile via shared links without installing software.
- Notes:
- In a DJI Terra 3D modeling project, you can launch DJI Modify with one click to edit model. DJI Terra also supports outputting a DJI Modify project file for seamless workflow.
- Auto repair supports flattening, texturing, floating parts removal and hole filling. Batch repair is supported to remove floating parts and fill holes.
- This feature will be available in Q2 2024. Stay tuned for related updates from DJI.
- Requires Windows 10 or later (64-bit) operating system with at least 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA graphics card with compute capability 5.0 or higher, and at least 4 GB of GPU memory. A graphics card equivalent or better than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti is recommended.
- DJI Modify can only edit visible light 3D models reconstructed with DJI Terra V4.0.0 or later.
- It is recommended to use DJI Terra's split block function and adjust edge lengths up to 300*300m.
- A network license requires a continuous Internet connection during operation.
- Custom coordinate system, custom elevation, and seven-parameter transformation are not currently supported.
