Master the invisible
At the pinnacle of aerial cinematography, the DJI Inspire 3 offers unprecedented workflow performance, camera language and creative freedom. This all-in-one 8K drone camera enables professional filmmakers to fully maximize the potential of any shot and master the invisible.
Sleek, integrated design
The Inspire 3 is a professional camera drone that adopts a fluid new design that fully takes into account aerodynamics to reduce air resistance.
Maximum dive speed has been increased from the Inspire 2's 9 m/s to 10 m/s, while vertical ascent/descent speed has been increased from 6 m/s and 4 m/s to 8 m/s.< su[1]
Strong maneuverability offers responsiveness, precise control and extended flight time of up to 28 minutes.[2]
The FPV camera, optical sensors, position antennas and storage card slot adopt designs that seamlessly integrate with the airframe for a minimalist look and modern industrial aesthetic.
Inheriting the classic convertible configuration of the Inspire series, the Inspire 3 uses an all-new design that supports 360 Pan and Tilt Boost structures. When the landing gear is lowered, the gimbal supports an unobstructed 80 up shot,[3] enabling cinematographers to capture strikingly innovative shots.

From the exterior design to the internal structure, every detail of the Inspire 3 has been carefully considered and optimized.
High Mobility Precision Flight System
RTK placement at centimeter level
Inspire 3 incorporates high-precision RTK positioning technology used in industries such as architecture and surveying to deliver centimeter-level accuracy.[4] Compared to traditional meter-level positioning where supported by Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), RTK not only makes flights more stable, but also makes flight path planning more accurate, greatly improving creative performance.
The RTK antennas are integrated into the airframe with a new stacked ceramic design, which enables three types of GNSS (GPS, BeiDou and Galileo) and provides dual-frequency positioning down to the centimeter level. By enabling an RTK network[5] or setting up a mobile D-RTK 2 station,[6] users can achieve high-precision positioning without deploying additional units.
Dual Antenna Orientation
Both the front and rear of the Inspire 3 feature an integrated stacked ceramic antenna, providing strong anti-magnetic interference capability to further improve flight accuracy and safety.
Waypoint Pro
Specially designed for aerial filming, Waypoint Pro allows flight and shot planning with a wide range of custom settings. With the new Repeatable Routes and 3D Dolly features, an innovative automated shooting experience can be easily achieved. Additionally, RTK centimeter level placement ensures more accurate flight path planning and execution. Whether you're shooting solo or in a professional crew, use Waypoint Pro to dominate even the most complex scenes.
Repeated paths
Using repeat routes, the aircraft will automatically fly the same route and maintain all preset parameters such as altitude, speed, camera angle and camera settings. Repeating the same flight mission allows filmmakers to effortlessly perform difficult shots or fly at different times in the same place to easily create long timelapses that capture transitions such as day to night or season to season.
3D Dolly
3D Dolly can simulate a crane, a cable camera or a dolly on a movie set, while going far beyond the limitations of these devices.
After planning a flight path, the cinematographer can manually control the aircraft to move along the path back and forth, while adjusting parameters such as speed, gimbal angle and more according to the needs of the shot. This makes complex cinema-level camera movements easier and more efficient and can provide enhanced visual effects.
Spotlight Pro
Upgraded from the Inspire 2, the Spotlight Pro gives solo creators more shooting options. Based on powerful machine learning algorithms, the Inspire 3 supports automated subject recognition and lock-on for people, vehicles and boats with greater accuracy than its predecessor.
Follow mode - Follow mode
When using Follow Spotlight Pro, the aircraft and gimbal camera are oriented in the same direction and remain locked on the subject, so the pilot can take circular shots without manual framing adjustments.
Free mode - Free mode
At Free mode, thanks to the Inspire 3's 360 gimbal pan, the gimbal camera can remain locked on a subject while a single pilot uses the FPV camera to monitor his environment and control the flight path more responsively to achieve more complex camera movements easily.
Omnidirectional tracking system
Inspire 3 is equipped with nine optical sensors, which enable a powerful omnidirectional detection system that can detect obstacles in all directions and provide comprehensive protection for the flight. [7]
For the first time, a fisheye camera was added to each of the four landing arms. This design helps avoid obstacles from the airframe when the landing gear is raised and allows detection of horizontal obstacles when the landing gear is lowered.
Customizable obstacle detection
Additionally, the Inspire 3 features a new customizable feature that helps ensure safer flights and more creative freedom. Horizontal, upward and downward obstacle detection can be enabled or disabled independently, and an obstacle alert range can be manually set to suit different scenarios.[8]
When active avoidance is disabled, users can still see the distance to an obstacle on the real-time navigation screen and receive an audible alert when an obstacle is within a specified range without the aircraft performing automatic avoidance. This brings new possibilities to professional aerial teams looking to achieve more complex camera language.
Ultra Wide Angle Night Vision FPV Camera
Inspire 3 is equipped with a new FPV camera with a 1/1.8-inch sensor with 3mm pixel size, an ultra-wide DFOV of 161 and the ability to transmit live streams up to 1080p/60fps. Compared to its predecessor, the DFOV is roughly doubled. This FPV camera offers more impressive light detection capability, allowing pilots to observe their surroundings vividly and clearly, even at night, and ensure greater levels of flight safety.
Full-Frame 8K Display System
Custom 8K sensor
DJI's lightest three-axis full-frame camera, the X9-8K Air, is built specifically for the Inspire 3 to take drone filming to the next level. It features DJI's latest image processing system, CineCore 3.0, which supports internal recording of up to 8K/25fps CinemaDNG video [9] as well as 8K/75fps[10] Apple ProRes RAW video, [9] meeting the needs of top quality film and television productions.
8K stands for ultra-high-resolution aerial footage that preserves true texture close to what the human eye sees, with clarity that wows audiences when viewed on larger screens. RAW brings the X9-8K Air's sensor to its fullest, providing plenty of room for visual effects and color grading.
In S&Q mode, the X9-8K Air supports internal video recording up to full-frame 4K/120fps ProRes RAW without cropping, providing more creative options processing.
Dual native ISO
The X9-8K Air supports dual native ISO. At 30fps and below, it offers EI 800/4000, supporting the 24fps commonly seen in film productions and the 25fps used in commercial and television productions. At over 30fps, EI 320/1600 is available.
This allows the X9-8K Air to capture images with excellent detail and minimal noise, even in low-light cityscapes or beaches, bringing it on par with professional terrestrial cinema cameras.
14+ dynamic range stops
The X9-8K Air covers 14+ stops of dynamic range, which captures rich highlight and shadow detail in complex lighting scenarios such as sunrise and sunset. The high dynamic range offers more possibilities for post-processing, preserving the original colors even after significant exposure adjustments.
EI Grayscale (30fps and below)
EI Grayscale (above 30 fps)
DL mounting lenses[11]
Inheriting DJI's proprietary DL mount, the X9-8K Air is compatible with an additional F2.8 18mm full-frame ultra-wide lens and a new telephoto lens (to be released later) [12] above from previous full lens -frame lens options DL 24/35/50mm F2.8. All five lenses are specially designed for aerial filming. The enclosures are made of lightweight, monocoque carbon fiber, so the lightest lens weighs just 178g, meeting the Inspire 3's requirement for ultra-high flexibility.
DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS)
Based on DJI's mature color science and technology, the DJI Cinema Color System allows the X9-8K Air to maintain authentic colors that redefine the look of aerial cinematography. This applies to natural environments and cityscapes, and also accurately captures skin tones in different environments and lighting conditions. DCCS ensures easy color matching between X9-8K Air and ground-based cinema cameras such as the DJI Ronin 4D, providing consistent color styling from air to ground to meet the needs of film post-production workflows.
Multi-Camera Timecode Synchronization
Through the aircraft's 3.5mm port, you can synchronize time code between equipment in the air and on the ground. When dealing with abundant footage from multiple cameras, timecode synchronization makes the editing process significantly more streamlined and efficient.
O3 Pro Video Broadcast and Control System

The Inspire 3 is equipped with O3 Pro, DJI's latest cinema-quality video transmission system, which allows a maximum transmission distance of 15 km in single control mode[14] and 12 km< su[15] in dual control mode. Both the gimbal camera and the FPV camera support 1080p/60fps live streams and ultra-low 90ms latency.[16] Compared to the Inspire 2's Lightbridge video transmission system, the O3 Pro has made a generation leap in transmission distance, latency and overall stability. For the first time, 4K/30fps live streams are also supported with a maximum transmission distance of 5km to meet the needs of UHD monitoring and live streaming on set.[17]
Independent links to double check[18]
Compared to its predecessor, the dual control experience of the Inspire 3 has been significantly upgraded. Two remote controls can receive live feeds and control the drone independently, so the operator and gimbal operator can be in different locations on set. This breaks the Inspire 2's limitations on binding the primary and secondary control link.
If the pilot loses the aircraft signal, the gimbal operator is now able to take control of the aircraft to return home safely or land directly.
