1. Stop Motion
Mavic Mini features a flawless 2.7K camera, stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal, meaning you can use it like a normal camera! Set the Mavic Mini to a nice spot, take a photo, move your subject to another location, and take another photo. Repeat this process and combine all images into one video to get playful Stop motion style video.
2. Creative corners
The Mavic Mini is extremely portable, weighing less than 250 grams. and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It's the perfect photography tool for unique indoor shots.
3. Magic Twin
effectThis is another great Mavic Mini tip that you can use with any camera, including the Mavic Mini! The stabilized 3-axis gimbal keeps the shot perfectly still. All you need to do is capture yourself or your subject in multiple places, mask your shot and apply a little post-processing. Watch the video at the end of this article for a full walkthrough.
4. Timelapse
In-house film production has many advantages and creative possibilities. From a gorgeous sunset to a playful puppy, capture a time-lapse of anything you want with the Mavic Mini. All you need is to find a good spot to place the Mavic Mini, select "Timed Shot" in the DJI Fly app, shoot with manual exposure and combine all the shots afterwards. Very simple, extremely effective!
5. HDR images
This next tip is perfect for all the budding photographers out there. Indoor environments are full of different types of lighting and it's very easy to end up with overexposed or underexposed images. How can you improve your shots in these environments? Place the Mavic Mini on a flat surface and take multiple photos of the same scene at different manual exposures. Combine all these images together with editing software to create a stunning image with a strong dynamic range.
6. Panorama
You can also use the Mavic Mini like a regular camera to create epic panoramas! Take a series of images, making sure each image overlaps. Combine all these images with editing software to create a super wide panorama!
