With so much hope from extreme video fans around the world, DJI has finally announced its new camera Osmo Action, which seems to be an absolute hit.
The company's first action camera features a unique "Three-Glass Aspherical Lens" design, which guarantees a sleek look and body durability.
Osmo Action hopes to win over users with its dual camera screens. On the back there is a 2.25" touch screen for controlling the interface, while on the front there is a 1.4" screen that is suitable for taking selfies or vlogging. The camera is waterproof and shockproof and can withstand a depth of up to 11 meters without an additional protective case. There is also an option to add additional filters to the lens - for example, ND for shooting in bright conditions.
Osmo Action supports up to 4K60 HDR video, records slow-motion video at up to 240fps (1080p240), uses RockSteady electronic image stabilization (EIS), and can work in slow-motion and hyperlapse mode. Photos are capable of up to 12MP resolution in RAW or JPG format, and when you rotate the camera 90, it will automatically switch to portrait mode. Also, DJI has incorporated a new camera voice control technology.
All photos and videos stored on a microSD card in a slot that supports microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards with a minimum write speed of 30 Mb/s and a maximum capacity of 256GB.
The Osmo Action can be controlled via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi from iOS or Android using the DJI Mimo app.
