What mobile requirements does the DJI OM 4 have?
- DJI OM 4 uses Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 and works best with phones with Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 or later.
- Android: Android 7.0 or later.
- iPhone: iOS 11.0 or later.

Can I use the DJI OM 4 with a mobile case?
It is not recommended to attach the magnetic ring base to a mobile phone case. However, mobile cases can be used with the magnetic mobile clamp.
Does DJI OM 4 require balancing before use?
No. The new DJI OM 4 has improved motors, which means that you don't need to balance the gimbal before using it. When using the magnetic clamp, place it in the middle of your phone. If you have balancing problems, perform Gimbal Auto Calibration and Gimbal Horizontal Adjustment in the DJI Mimo app.
Do DJI OM 4 and DJI Osmo Mobile 3 support the same mobile phone models?
No. DJI OM 4 supports a different set of mobile phone models, which you can find here. In addition, DJI OM 4 also supports heavier phone models up to 290 grams.
What is the difference between DJI OM 4 and DJI OM3?
DJI OM 4 has a quick-release magnetic design, stronger motors to support heavier phones and lighter weight.
DJI OM 4: Magnetic design
Can I remove the magnetic ring stand and put it back on my phone?
No. The sticker on the back of the ring is disposable and can only be used once. The magnetic mobile clamp can be put back on your phone.
Will DJI OM 4's magnetic design affect my mobile phone?
No, DJI OM 4 will not affect your mobile phone. Do not place DJI OM 4 near other magnetic objects such as bank cards, pacemakers and hard drives.
How to attach the magnetic mobile clamp or magnetic ring mount to DJI OM 4?
Attach the mobile magnetic clamp or magnetic ring mount to the gimbal. Avoid pinching your fingers and make sure the phone is placed correctly.
What should I do if the DJI OM 4 gimbal is visible in the frame after placing a phone?
- Adjust the position of the mobile magnetic clamp and move it away from the camera until the gimbal is out of the camera view.
- Try increasing the wide angle on your phone.
Need glue to attach the magnetic ring stand to a phone?

Does DJI OM 4 support ActiveTrack, Timelapse and Pano in portrait orientation?
Yes. DJI OM 4 supports the above smart functions in portrait mode.
What is the difference between DJI OM 4's ActiveTrack mode when using the front and rear cameras?
While the front and rear cameras of the DJI OM 4 they perform similarly in terms of tracking, only the rear camera can track a person's profile and keep tracking it, even if the subject is far from the gimbal.
Can DJI OM 4 track pets and children using ActiveTrack?
Yes, however, the accuracy of ActiveTrack may vary between different mobile phone models.
What are the differences between DJI OM 4's Timelapse, Motionlapse and Hyperlapse modes?
